O Λεονάρντο ντι Κάπριο για τον Αώο

Μια insta story του διεθνούς πρακτορείου ειδήσεων Associated Press για τον ποταμό Αώο αναπαραγάγει ο Λεονάρντο ντι Κάπριο, ο γνωστός ηθοποιός και ακτιβιστής για την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος, στο δικό του instagram: «Ο Αώος ποταμός είναι από τα τελευταία άγρια ποτάμια της Ευρώπης. Ως πότε όμως;»…

Η ανάρτηση αναφέρεται στην προσπάθεια της αλβανικής κυβέρνησης να κατασκευάσει οκτώ φράγματα στον ποταμό και στην έντονη αμφισβήτηση που υπάρχει πια για την αποτελεσματικότητα της παραγωγής  υδροηλεκτρικής ενέργειας. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, ο Αώος, τόσο επί ελληνικού όσο και επί αλβανικού εδάφους, όπου τα σχέδια φραγματοποίησης είναι πιο… δυναμικά, βρίσκεται στο επίκεντρο του ενδιαφέροντος πολλών περιβαλλοντικών οργανώσεων που διεκδικούν τη δημιουργία ενός διακρατικού πάρκου και ενός Αώου «ελεύθερου» από φράγματα.
